Hereon, we variously refer to ObamaCare as "OC," "O-care," or the "Affordable Care Act (ACA)." Some sites refer to it as the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act" (PPACA).
Hereon, we track the ObamaCare (OC) debacle through social media (SM) and other Internet resources.
Topsy is a slick tool for those who are interested in searching and analyzing Twitter traffic. For example, Topsy allows you to search the tweets of the most influential Twitter users, and none others; it allows you to exclude from your search all users other than the most influential. Slick, huh? How can you do that? Well, on Topsy's home page, select the option that is labeled "Influencers" (as shown in the image above).
On the next page (see the image below), select whether you want, say, the 100 most influential or the "top 20,000" most influential Twitter users. Also, ensure that you select "Tweets only," also shown in the left margin. Then search for the hashtag "#ObamaCare." Then peruse the resulting list of tweets. This list ain't pretty, at least from the perspective of an OC proponent. This list of tweets is not merely anti-OC, it is overwhelmingly anti-OC. Are there some pro-OC tweets in that list? Yeah, probably, but they are greatly outnumbered, that is for sure.
